All processes in our body is regulated by natural bio-electrical signals; it is how our cells communicate. Man-made EMR (Electromagnetic Radiation) can interfere with the body's healthy communication, and create internal stress and illness. It is a pollutant that is completely invisible, tasteless, and odourless.
As high frequency radiation from digital technology such as cell phones and Wi-Fi, and high frequency electric fields from building wiring increase, rates of disease and disorders are skyrocketing.
The World Health Organisation refers to this collection of symptoms and triggers as Electro-hypersensitivity, often referred to as Electro-sensitivity. While not yet recognised as a medical diagnosis, electrohypersensitivity is accepted as a functional impairment in a list of growing countries including, Sweden, Germany, Israel, and Canada. These symptoms can be:
Neurological: headaches, dizziness/nausea, memory and concentration difficulties, insomnia, depression/anxiety, fatigue/weakness, numbness/tingling, muscle and joint pains.
Cardiac: heart palpitations, shortness of breath, heart arrhythmias, high blood pressure.
Eyes: pain/discomfort, pressure in the eyes, deteriorating vision, cataracts.
Ears: ringing in the ears, hearing loss.
Other: skin problems, digestive problems, dehydration, nosebleeds, impaired sense of smell and light sensitivity.
While it is impossible to completely avoid EMFs in society, we can reduce exposures in critical spaces - especially where we sleep and work.
EMF assessments at home or at work
The BioInitiative Report examines the research of over 3800 studies on EMR, reviews the current exposure standards and finds that they are far from adequate to protect public health. Its findings and recommendations have led to the reductions of exposure guidelines for many countries in Europe, Austria, New Zealand, Israel and others. Hundreds of public buildings, schools, libraries and businesses have also removed their Wifi networks based on the report findings.
See ‘Notes/Blog’ for a compilation of selected published research on the impact of EMFs on vulnerable populations and brain health.
